Originally, The Spencer Hotel, built in 1909 by Mrs. Ensign, this family-owned business was sold to Helen Edgington in 1967. Under Ms. Edgington’s stewardship and creative vision,, The Spencer Hotel was accepted into the Select Registry bed and breakfast collection, an exclusive group of the finest bed and breakfasts in the country.
