Johnson Estate Winery

Johnson Estate Winery is the oldest estate winery in New York, they have been growing grapes and making wine for over a century. An estate winery is a winery that grows its own grapes at the winery so they do not need to be transported. All Johnson Estate Winery grapes are grown within 3,000 feet of the winery. The Johnson Estate Winery grows 13 varieties of grapes. The tasting room and gift shop are open 7 days a week, all year from 10 am – 6 pm. Tours of the winery are available in July and August.

Mazza Vineyards

Just over the New York/Pennsylvania border in North East, PA is The Mazza Winery. It was built in 1973 by Italian immigrants Robert and Frank Mazza. It is the largest producing winery in the state of Pennsylvania. Mazza wine has grown to have many locations. One in nearby Westfield, NY is New York’s first combination winery, brewery, and distillery. Mazza carries many types of wines: table wines, premium wines, fruit wines, and more.

Blueberry Sky Farm Winery

Looking for a more adventurous wine experience? Try Blueberry Sky Farm Winery. They offer wines made from the most unusual of flavors such as garlic, onion, jalapeno, tomato, and cucumber. Blueberry Sky Farm Winery is a small family-owned winery located in Ripley, New York. The Heinert family offers deliciously sweet and dry fruit wines from their 70-acre farm that hugs the sweeping shores of Lake Erie. In the summer almost four acres of ripening blueberry bushes are the homestead’s hub of activity.15 varieties of fruit wines include blueberries, blackberries, elderberries, dandelion, plum, peach, cherry, rhubarb, raspberry. The winery and tasting room are open year-round, “U-pick blueberries” is available in July, August, and September.

The Merritt Estate Winery has been owned by the same family since the late 19th century. It became the fully-functioning winery that it is today in 1976. Merritt Estate Winery offers a selection of 27 award-winning wines, their most famous being Bella Rosa, a 100% concord grape wine.
